We asked Stephanie Lotven if we could use her pattern for Counterbalance mitts - because we loved her design and tried it in our lovely wool.

Home Farm Wensleydales produce Wensleydale wool to the highest standard and the ethos of our farm is always animal care, welfare and husbandry first.     

Our luxurious wool is made from our finest fleeces, washed and spun in Yorkshire.  Home Farm wool is soft, smooth and silky, bursting with lustre and worsted spun to ensure great stitch definition.  

Home Farm pure wool yarns are versatile and can be used for most knitting and crochet patterns as well as the lovely range that we have on offer from Home Farm Wensleydales.

This pattern is written in three sizes.   

Circumference (fingerless and full) 14.5cm, 17cm, 19.5cm (5.75, 6.75, 7.75 ins) 
and length of fingerless 25.5cm (10 ins) for all three sizes 
and length 32cm, 32.5cm, 34.5cm (12.5, 12.75 and 13.25 ins) for the full glove although I made my full glove 28cm (10.75 ins).  

THIS KIT CONTAINS: 

100g (3.53 oz)  Home Farm Wensleydales luxury DK (worsted weight) Yarn in your choice of colour (shown here in Arlescote Blush) for the full gloves OR

75g (2.65 oz) Home Farm Wensleydales luxury DK (worsted weight) Yarn in your choice of colour (shown here in Arlescote Blush) for the fingerless mitts.

Pattern with clear instructions (written as well as pattern chart) to complete your set.

YOU WILL NEED: 3.5mm (US 4) and 3.25mm (US 3) DPN's.  Medium cable needle.

SKILL LEVEL: Easy - although they are knitted in the round but the instructions are very easy to follow.

HOW MINE CAME OUT: Full mitt measures 28cm (10.75 ins) long and 15cm (6 ins) circumference (fingerless and full). 

COLOUR CHOICES: This pattern is shown here in Arlescote Blush but please choose whichever colour you would like for your project.

LAUNDRY CARE:  Handwash and dry flat.  Unless you have a new machine with a clever pure wool cycle.
